We decided to renew our vows last minute while we were on vacation in hawaii....after being inspired by my brothers beach wedding we decided to renew ours as well....found a wedding gown in chinatown and the sales ladies referred L&M Photography to us....we called them while in the shop and they agreed to meet us the next day wow! Since we only had a few more days left in hawaii we were so happy that they were able to sneak us in their schedule.  They are located in Waipahu and we were in North Shore, they drove all the way to turtle bay to do the shoot. They arrived at exactly the same time we agreed upon. Lester and Michael were very nice and very professional and fun at the same time. They came with an assistant who helped do my wifes hair and makeup!  When it was time to do the shoot they told us to act natural and not to worry cause they will help us out. My wife was very nervous about the shoot but they helped her be at ease. They helped suggest some poses, the shoot became fun and exciting.  We shot at a few different locations in the resort with them just taking their time making sure we loved what we were doing. They would show us a few of the pics that they took and they looked great! They even drove us to a remote location by the water to do one scene...amazing!!!...After 4hrs of shooting we decided to call it a day.

Not done yet....on the same day after the shoot, me and my wife were hanging out at different beaches and stumbled upon an area which we thought would look great as wedding pic backgrounds. We texted Michael and he accommodated our request, he showed up the next day and we continued our shoot. He met us at the resort and we both drove down to where the secret spot is.  The shoot went great and we soon had the shots that we hoped for. How awesome is that!!!

We just got back from Hawaii a cpl days ago and now they are sending us sneak peaks of pictures they took and are leaving us breathless! They are sending the rest on a disc after they edit them. WE CANT WAIT!!!!

L&M is the way to go for any type of shoot! Michael and his funny yet professional team made the process very comfortable for me and my fiancé (who hates taking pictures). The prices are AMAZING and his work is even more. We were able to see most of the pictures after the shoot (without editing) and I was sooo HAPPY. I couldn't believe the amazing work they did, thank you so much for the amazing time and the amazing pictures, you truly have a gift!!!

Mike and Lester shot my friend's Army homecoming and son's first birthday party.  The resulting pictures were so fabulous that I decided to ask Mike if they could shoot my husband's Navy homecoming for us.  I asked him 6 months out to reserve a vague idea of a date as no date or details would be firmed up until much closer to the actual homecoming.  I had lots of questions and suggestions in advance and Mike got back to me right away with helpful ideas.  The time of the homecoming got first pushed back the day of and then pushed to the following day.  The team was so fantastic being "on call" awaiting notification of the new time or day.  

The day of the actual event, Mike and Lester showed up with their team and two assistants and got right to work shooting the surrounding area and candids of myself and my friends.  I completely forgot they were there until after I had greeted my husband and there was a lull in activity and the two of them suggested a few poses or backgrounds for photos.  This was so awesome because I could go about the business of cheering on the homecoming and seeing my husband without worrying about posing for pictures or making sure the moment was being captured.

Only a few hours after the homecoming, I received an email with a "sneak peek" of several shots and they were OUTSTANDING.  I couldn't even remember the pictures being taken.

Barely a week later, I received a disc with tons of pictures.  They were incredible!  They range from artsy to touching candids to formally posed photos.  And because both Mike and Lester were shooting, I got different style portraits.

I am booking them to do a series of lifestyle shoots for us and I plan to ask them to make Christmas cards for us.

I SUCK at posing...there is probably not a picture out there where I give myself a wonky eye or double chin. I was apprehensive about taking engagement and wedding photos, because it's super expensive and results vary. Plus double chin.

I got the referral to L & M through my fiance. I'm so glad I did! Mike, Lester, and their assistant Mel :) were so helpful and encouraging, and showed me how to hold my head and pose without looking stupid and forced. They showed up on time at a$$ o clock in the morning at Lanikai Beach. Unknowing to me, they were constantly shooting with two cameras, so they got tons of candid pics of me and my fiance that were sweet and captured the emotion of the moment. My favorite is a shot they got where we were both laughing; I've decided to print and frame it! They were very professional and knew what to do to encourage both of us to have fun and forget the cameras were there.

Better yet, the turnaround time was almost nothing. I had a CD of the best 200 prints in my hands within two days, and a few sample pictures emailed that night. I can't imagine working with some of these photographers that hold onto the pictures for months and don't return calls. Forget that. Thank you so much L&M!

Having Michael and Lester photograph our wedding was one of the best decisions I had ever made. Michael was very prompt with response time and helpful. With only a month worth of preparations, they made us feel at ease and was open to suggestions on what we wanted. They took a proactive approach in asking us about details that I had overlooked and mentioned vendors that we could possibly look into.

The day of our wedding, L&M Photography was very professional, efficient and friendly. When asking my grandparents to pose I noticed that they had treated them with respect and Michael even referred to my grandfather as "tata!" In today's rambunctious business world, it is difficult to find mindful, courteous and hardworking young people! That alone, is a very good reason to give them a call. Their assistant, Derrick, was also extremely polite and well-mannered.

If you are looking for photographers for your next event/photo shoot then seriously consider L&M Photography. It had never dawned on me until now but if you want to hire professionals to do the job it is critical to be aware of personality types. Each and every one of our family members felt comfortable posing for the photos. I personally hate being barked orders on where to place my hands and they did nothing of that sort. Lastly, both promised 2-4 edited photos the day after our wedding and they delivered! Each photo was beautiful and taken at the right moment. We can't wait to see the rest of the pictures though we know that it will all be great!

Being shot for the first time ever with my boyfriend was an amazing first time experience! Michael made the photo shoot calm, fun, enjoyable, professional and memorable. Bringing  a posing magazine for first timers was extraordinarily helpful too! Michael made my boyfriend and I feel at ease with no pressure at all since it was our very first time taking professional photos!:) Michael was very creative and innovative with ideas and shots. He has a special vision and scope of his photography and you can simply see the perfection in his photos you will receive. Would recommend L&M photography for capturing your life's moments!!!:)

L&M Photography- Amazing!
I was going crazy looking for a photographer for my maternity photos and I was referred to Michael by a friend. I was kind of nervous because I didn't know what I wanted, and where I wanted my photos taken, most especially I did not want to look fat in those photos. But after talking to Michael and planning and putting ideas together, he made me feel more confident about the photoshoot. And my photos & most especially poses came out to be SPECTACULAR and BEAUTIFUL. During the shoot, it was easy to work with him, it was not awkward, he made me and my other half very comfortable.
Photos by L&M photography was definitely the perfect choice I made for my maternity photos, and I will definitely choose them again and again to photograph precious moments and events I would love to capture.

Gainsley - Family Portrait

My family has been looking for a photographer to take our Christmas photos for years now. We finally stopped procrastinating and decided to get them done this year. I just happen to network with a colleague about this, and linked up with L&M. They met us at our desired location and at a time of day we selected. When they arrived they greeted us with smiles. We discussed what type of photos and poses we wanted, and then they began shooting us in the different poses as we walked through the Aulani Disney Resort here on Oahu. They were great at finding the right angle and right place for us to stand to give us amazing family photos. They even encouraged us to try many different poses; playful, intimate, individual and casual. That way it was not "just look at the camera and I will take your picture." My daughter is quite shy/timid, so luckily the female friend that they brought with them was able to assist my daughter in poses to bring out more of her character. The whole experience was very comfortable and enjoyable. We got all the shots we wanted. Within a few days they had touched up the photos and given me a disk with the photos. Overall, it was a great experience, very professional and an amazing end product.
